I would think that painting will cost about the same for the 2, so final difference would be around 150/200€

Well, I have to be honest: I was very hot at the end of the day. I think that if i didn't go out there, which is a nice low speed corner, I would have gone out somewhere else and it could have been a lot worse. That really help me to put the damage in perspective and realize how lucky I have been indeed.

Don't think I'll be any slower in mondello though. Only problems, my tyres are shot, might need to get new one before mondello.

@Ludo, Glad you got away with light damage. My wake up call was at Easter when I came across a Porsche on it's roof at miss-hit-miss. That has made me keep inside my limits. That tends to increase with more laps and therefore experience.

@Eamo, Good to meet you there and glad you made it back home ok. Did you manage to take any photos?

Cool! How did the car sound in motion? Did you see me in the lap of shame, the last one, that took me about 20min to complete?

I was told that saturday and sunday would be crazy by a local.

It was the lap of shame then! I wasn't pushing anymore. The sound at wot is trully great, maybe on the loud side but so race like without being ricey IMO. Will see what you all think in mondello.

For people staying in the pit lane, you might want to bring earplugs! Actually I might bring sopme with me to give away!

Sorry to gate-crash the Irish Forum - being an Englander and all but had to have my say on this thread...

The Nurburgring is truly a mad experience. Hello to Eamo - was top to meet you and your mates - it made a quite intimidating atmosphere a lot more friendly...

Still coming down from the buzz and I only did 5 laps !

Those 911 drivers are fast but that Uno driver is a lunatic - he overtook us all SIDEWAYS !

Anyway - if in doubt all you who are thinking going over, just get yourself over there...

There was a Clio (on UK Plates) which did at least 1 lap of the ring with 2 Boxers in the back!!!

I only saw it just when we were exiting the track so don't know how spirited his driving was, I hope he took it gently.

Wish I had bought an E30 M3 instead of my 328 but think I've invested too much in mine to swap now. What I was thinking of was buying an E30 318is, stripping it out and turning it into a dedicated track car. That way I can go over to The 'Ring and give it some proper welly as it'd be my second car and not too expensive to kit out. Think the E30 chassis is more suited to track day action as well.

By the way, Ben Lovejoy has put some photos of Saturday and Sunday on his website and there's another link to a 'Ring photo website on there too. Be warned though there's fookin' loads of 'em!
