Annoying noise sorted 1995 E34 530

   Since buying this car just over 2 months (and 5,000 miles ago) I've had a most annoying clanging rattle coming from the front nearside. at the weekend we were talking about control arms on here.
I had a look under my car to determine the metal type of my Bottom arms and spotted the inner disc, metal protecting  cover was almost touching my nearside bottom control arm. I gave it a firm tap and it made the clanging rattle I've been trying to find for months so I just pushed it away from the bottom arm a couple of millimetres.
Noise has now ceased  the car has been transformed 100% for me, it now feels, "Proper"
