Before I get stuck into the wrong places...does anyone have a fair general step-by-step on removing the front bumber and spoiler....I assume they have to come down together...things like where and how many bolts are holding it up etc.   Am guessing that the crank and big bearings arent totally screwed and will start a lot of work on my six (many thanks to Ivan) in the next hour...what took me so long I don't know...must be the 'married' condition

Trev, Limerick

Welcome back, Trev. Hope the Missus is treating you gently, and that she doesn't have links to any of the gangs feuding in Limerick!

Front bumper / airdam: you ideally need to have the front of the car up on a ramp so that you can slide underneath. The mounting points will then become very apparent. Two substantial brackets at front, each containing two large bolts, if I remember correctly. (You will find the same at the rear.) There should also be one bracket each "side".

-the side brackets will be very rusty if they are anything like all the ones I have seen.

Don't forget to disconnect the temperature sensor and the foglights....

cheers

They probably WILL be rusty on Trev's example. They certainly didn't feel particularly clean when I originally went to assess the car....

Almost forgot those!
