Does anybody know where an E34 Alpina front bumper can be bought from? Searched Google but can't find one...
Just for an idea i've got (me + ideas = don't go well!) |

Yeah I don't really fancy going to a dealer - plus it'd probably be one of those Alpina chassis number only jobbies

Lets just say, it needs to be an Alpina bumper, and involves a hacksaw, spraypaint and a big hammer

Although they normally don't do much for the E34, they might just be able to help you out. Or you could approach Alpina direct, given that their UK agent Sh*tners aren't interested in assisting cars over four years old..... Download the the Alpina E34 catalogue (a PDF file) HERE The spoiler is a "Type 690", and you can have it "unpainted" (part no: 41 00 691) or specify in single or metallic paint (41 00 045) Edited by Horsetan |

Thanks Ivan.
I've managed to track one down so will see how it goes - if not then i'll use one of the options you mentioned above. Cheers John |

Are Alpina still selling those E34 parts? Surely they
must be getting scarce by now. Is it better to contact your local dealer for prices or do Alpina have their own UK price list? Cheers, Shaun |

As far as I can see, Alpina maintain catalogues for cars if they still have stocks of parts for them. The only major model that they don't now have a catalogue for is their version of the E23 Seven.
Quite possibly. Act now.....
Depends on how helpful you think your local dealer is going to be. Just don't ask Sh*tners - they're not interested. |

Obtaining any parts for any alpina is brain damage . I recently refurbed and exported an e34 B10, the badges were u/s and a souvenir hunter had chawed the plaque, the car was on their system they knew it was kosher but still wanted copies of logbook, engine number, alpina number on head etc and photos of the car and engine ? . 2 months later i'm still waiting. I can understand their reluctance to supply parts to scum who are trying to create an ALPINA 316 but when the car is obviously legit whats the problem ?. At their prices you'd think they'd welcome every victim. |

That may explain why they've got so much stock left over..... |

Just to put another perspective on the Sytner comments, I have found them really helpful for parts for my 2000 B10 V8. The local BMW dealer was getting nowhere ordering replacement boot badges and eventually said they were no longer available, so after 5 weeks I phoned Sytner and they immediately gave me the correct part numbers and told me how the local BMW dealer could order them. I then went back to the local dealer and gave them the info, two weeks later they had them. I have also spoken to Alpina owners who have had problems getting BMW to do warranty work, and Sytner have offered to do it. In many cases you just have to know what can be done, be persistant and not take no for an answer.

Check out Reuter Motorsport
in Germany I know they do a lot of Alpina stuff for the E30... I'm
pretty sure they sell Alpina bits for the E34 too... but can't be
bothered babel-fishing the entire catalog to find out!
Good luck! |

I called Alpina about a front spoiler for my (non-Alpina) E30 and they seemed quite happy to provide me with one without a logbook.....the only problem was the price!
I haven't had any luck with my E34 though... Edited by JamesE30 |
