Those talking about the Monaro should try visiting a few Vauxhall forums.

You'll be VERY hard pushed to find anyone who keeps one more than 6 months.

1.  Depreciation - is one of the most staggering of any car today.  A new Monaro from February of this year, going out at £36k.....they're being offered £24k in PX.

2.  Fuel bills - are astronomical.

3.  Reliability and build - it's simply not good.

As I say, have a chat to a few of them and you'll find that TG's enthusiasm for the car isn't shared by most that bought them.

Chris,

I'm sure depreciation is awful. Just the same for any vauxhall then. Most new cars suffer dreadfully but big engined non prestige badged cars suffer the worst. Mind you the pervious seven series was one of the worst.

Fuel bills. What did the expect? A 6 litre American designed engine is always going to give the wrong side of 20mpg

Build quality, well if it was really well built it woiuld either cost a lot more or be real competition for the likes of the M3.

I just really liked the sound of the engine and the way it looks. Also the prospect of a relatively affordable V8 RWD car is very appealing

Oh and massive depreciation meand bargains for second hand buyers!
