    Posted: 06-August-2005 at 16:21

I've been on a run today with another club I'm a member of and a few of the guys took some pics whilst we were out.

Included were some shots of the 645 (picked it up yesterday).

I haven't given it the full Wax treatment yet but I think tomorrow is looking quite good for that.  I'll get some more scenic pictures taken once that's done.

Anyway, here are the ones from today:

Finally, despite a 4.4 litre V8 under the bonnet (and it is pulling very very well already!) I took a snap of the dash on the way home to demonstrate that 20.9 mpg was showing!  That'll do nicely if it keeps at that level, although I expect it to drop to more like 17-18 overall.

Thought you might like to see this too - belongs to a fellow member...and is fitted with a Tubi exhaust system that gives it a sound that wakes the dead!

Lots of Audis. You kept that a secret!

You'll have to bring them on the next run.

Ah yes, well it's not an Audi club but there are a lot of VW/Audi members.

The blue S4 you can see in the background was stunning.  The owner had just treated it with Pinnacle Souveran wax and added MTM alloys - and it looked very good indeed.

The red Audi A4 (looks like an S4, but it's a 1.9 TDi actually) was very bling.  The shine it had is testament to Audi's flat colours and paintwork - truly astonishing.

There was also an A6 2.5 Tdi that was mightily impressive and another A4 1.9 TDi.

Other members have an RS6 Avant, a Skoda Fabia vRS (and trust me, it really shifts and would embarass a lot of people), a Porsche 911 GT2 (and that rips the earth up), a 911 Turbo S, lots of Boxsters (including a few 987's that are a big improvement on the old model), a good few new Golf GTi's, lots of R32's, lots of RS4 Saloons and S4 Cabriolets, not to mention 12 (yes 12) A4 Cabs of other forms!

There are also a good few Audi S3's, some of which are pulling 300 bhp....

Another member has recently sold an RS4 that had been slightly modified....with 528bhp....

In respect of BMW's we have 3 or 4 M3 CSL's, a few M3 Cab's, a good few M3 Coupes, 530d's....and there are 2 x M6's and an M5 on the way shortly too!

Oh and.....a Lamborghini Gallardo that doesn't come out to play much...but when it does....all hell breaks out!

The guys do Le Mans every year and also the Cannonball - in fact the guy who drives the F360 is the driver when the "Reverend Bob" is doing his Cannonball show for Men & Motors.

The Ferrari is the 360 F1 with the paddleshift, and you really do need to hear it to believe it.  You hear him coming long long long before you see him!

On the country lanes towards Croft (which is where we went) it echoed for seemingly miles....and it goes a bit well too.

His girlfriend was telling him to slow down yesterday though..because we were driving rather, ermmm, spiritedly....

Nope, can't be it.  I happen to know they've sold it already too so it won't be out and about.

It's been bought by a couple in London and is being picked up on Tuesday!

Very, very nice.

Two things. First, I'm not even a little bit jealous. Second thing, I lie.

Cheers, Neil
