Ive just bought my first Zymol starter kit at the weekend from www.specialistcarsltd.co.uk They are a Porsche specialist but convinced me when i visited their stand at 'Porsche in the Park' at Castle Howard. They demo'd the concours wax on part of my bonnet and it came up great (finar!)(twas rather strange to see a grown man warm up a lump of wax in his nahds though and then massage my bonnet........i love my car but this seemed to take it to the extreme). Unfortunately i didn't have £130 on me or a tub of the good stuff so settled for the Carbon wax (the foam applicator should also prevent the neighbours from ringing the loony bin). At £99 for the starter kit i thought this was a bit steep but worth a try.

I just need a spare dry Weekend to use i now........i also need to work out how to use the clay........strange idea but seems to work.

Does anyone know of a cheaper source when the time comes to re-stock?

Thanks,

Darren.

Darren.

The guy to try would be John Drake,I'll get his number if you want.

Some Zymol products are also available at Halfords, could be worthwhile trying there.

John

I haven't tried the Zymol stuff from Halfords but I have heard that it isn't the same quality, might be worth looking into.

I've used the products suplied by a guy called Mark Underwood (aka The Wax Wizard) for ages... would never use anything else again either to be fair. My car comes up like new every time:

Try a new american product called Meguiars. They do a Gold Class wax that is superb, just like the rest of their products and is dirt cheap compared to Zymol!!

I second M3AngelEyes - no doubt about it and I think one or two (Adam) others will agree. Zymol is totally overpriced and Meguiars is excellent. Check out their website at www.meguiars.com

I have used Zymol and yes its good but no better than Meguiars.

I've just sat here for the last 5 minutes, crying with laughter!

Didnt notice it when I read the original message. Sorry, but it appeals to my very warped sense of humour.

Trouble is, I went back and read it again. With this new light shone on it, the following quote is even more concerning:

" Unfortunately i didn't have £130 on me or a tub of the good stuff ............"

Darren, my apologies for adding my bit, but my ribs now ache!

i think i was half p**ssed when i wrote that, the result was better than i hoped. I can't see the keyboard properley at the moment cos i'm crying so much with laughter.

I think i'll stick with engineering as a career, english is not a strong point! Heres a lame excuse - this laptops keyboard is not suited to the typing skills of the stronger gender! Thank god for spell checkers - i must learn how to use them!!
