Headlight washers on BMW 520i E34

   I recently bought BMW 520i, 1992. with headlight washers installed on bumper. I can't tell if they are connected or not, but if they are, they are not working.

Anyone knows how should I check this and when do they activate, maybe when front window is washed or there is another button for headlight washers, which I can not find.

	They work when the lights are first put on and if my memory serves me correctly every ten times after that. There isn't a seperate switch for the headlights. They also work when you activate the intensive wash. Hope this helps

	If you pull the stalk towards you the w/screen washers should operate and if you push the stalk with the lights off the intensive wash should operate but if you push the same stalk with the lights on both the intensive and the head lamp washers should now operate By push i mean towards the s/column not the dash.

	Thanks, I didn't know that fact that light switch should be on. It never occured to me. I'll try that after work.
