When's the next show we are doing?  Big Smile

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass-out at 31 Flavours last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Actually, it was a 1987 Alfa 75 with 20k miles on it. The Volvo got best-of-the-rest.

If I was a bitter man I'd say it was too unreliable to do more miles than that!

I'm being philosophical about it (and saving for a bumper respray!).

Second place on my first attempt isn't too bad.

Hi Guys,

Brilliant photos.  The weather looked as though it held out for you and everybody had a great time judging by the comments on the forum.

Pity I missed it all.  As you know I can't make it tonight with working away. Hopefully I'll make to the next meeting in August, the Drive and Dine do.

Andy, I be in touch later on in the month when I find out what's lined up for when I'm home on my days off. By the way, you wus robbed.  I cannot remotely think how a Volvo 460 could called a classic car.

Have a good meeting tonight.

Cheers

Pete

Looks like a great day was had by all.

Again, sorry I couldn't make it but family demands and all that....

Some nice pictures there too!

Except those yank tanks.  I had a little bit of duel with a new Mustang on Saturday and I can tell you they're all noise and disappointing go......oh, and they still corner like a bag of vomit on a lake.....because I don't think he meant to go over to the other side of the road and clip the grass verge....(silly silly boy!).

I don't normally bite but when someone goes past you and gives you the finger......

Thanks to all who turned up, in particular Stevie and Malcolm who travelled down from Scotland, Neil and Colin for sorting out the gazeebo, Lizzy PB for deciding to show her Baur TC1 with us instead of bringing her MG (wise choice), Terry for sorting out some of the details I'd missed and everyone else - Graham, Paul, Alan, Andy, Chris, Cal and Mrs Cal and Barbara - total of 15 cars, plus all their families and friends.

It was also nice having Mick from Motorforce showing up, plus Jonathon and one or two other familiar faces.

A number of flyers were handed out, so hopefully we may be attracting some new members.

I was pleased that meeting at the lay-by - allowing us to sort out our display in advance - seemed to work. I'll never forget the length of the convey to Dilston and the looks on the faces of those coming in the opposite direction - shame Chris Coasting couldn't make it as no doubt we'd have a couple of pics taken while on the move.

There are a few more pics here www.mgnorthumbria.org

The organisors say that if the landowners allow a similar event next year, we'll be more than welcome - hopefully we'll have twice as many cars!

Cheers,

Mick

I have over 100 pictures of the event but can't seem to upload them...help ! What I'll do instead is bring them to the meeting on Wednesday, maybe someone there can advise me how to do it.  Great day out, nice to meet everyone, lets hope this becomes a regular event as there was such a good BMW turnout
