Just rang around a few local BMW dealers (I'm in North Hertfordshire) to get a quote for an Inspection II for my 1995 E34 M5. Also asked for a price for Brake Fluid change.

The quotes (including VAT were):
Sycamore, Peterborough - £770.00
Elms, Cambridge - £772.17 PLUS oil (!)
Specialist Cars, Stevenage - £799.92
Bridgegate, Derby - £530.00

Quite a difference - Bridgegate are £240 cheaper than the cheapest of the rest! Only problem for me is the distance to Derby (130 miles), and having to stay over (they need the car for 2 days for an Inspection II) - the additional cost and hassle make it less attractive.

Anybody know of a BMW Dealer (car has a FBMWSH which I want to keep up) nearer to me that has Bridgegate-like prices?

For what it's worth, a Brake Fluid change would cost:
Sycamore, Peterborough - £65.00
Elms, Cambridge - £119.00
Specialist Cars, Stevenage - £44.25
Bridgegate, Derby - £78.00

Where exactly are you to be 130 miles from Derby.

Use the link on BMW's website to find lots of 'local' dealers http://ecom.bmwgroup.com/ecom32/GB/BMW/en/pages/dlo/index.js p?process=dlo

However I think the overnight stay in Derby will be worth the £240 saving, you can stay in a decent hotel and have a good night out for the money you are saving.

Unfortunately dealer prices are changing all the time, it's just a matter of ringing around and getting the best deal you can. That saving means Bridgegate are charging about £30 an hour less than Specialist Cars for labour!
