Do you have the contacts for that, sounds promising!

owen, i use zaino to polish the car with, its great if a little time taking, but as you can see it is worth it, considering that is 14/15 year old paint that has seen 112000 miles worth of abuse and pollution/salt then i don't think that it has come up that bad.

the pic was taken on holiday a year or two ago. and that is not my yatch in the marina...unfortuatly other wise i too would have an e30 m3....or several

Makes a pleasant change to find red paint on a car that actually stays red....alot of them go a mushy pink colour after about 5-6yrs of washing and road grime.

Your car looks well loved and cared for Chris...well done

It looks like you could have driven it out of the showroom the day you took those pics!

I've just bought a heap of Meguairs stuff, but the weather can't decide between scorching sun, lashing rain or hailstones(!) so i've yet to try it out.

An M5 or M6 coupe would probably be my choice if the yacht was parked in St.Tropez.  Powerful yet comfy for the long hard drive. Nice to have a different colour M3 for each day of the week too

I use Autoglym mostly, have had difficulty getting Meguiars but some local places stocking it now. Never got as good a shine as Chris though. Have to use a power polisher as my knees and back can't take doing it by hand  As with OwenW, weather stopped play recently!

I'm afraid my cars hardly ever got a proper polishing, all they got was a weekly visit to the car wash and that was about it. If I ever did get the polish out it was usually Colour Magic cos I usually had several tiny scratches and dings from shoppingtrolleyitis to cover up.

The Meguiars stuff is superb, I can't rate it highly enough. I won't post another picture as I seem to be posting them everywhere recently, but the results are fantastic. I also use the zymol car shampoo which washes very well and doesn't take off the polish or wax, and smells terrific. Meguairs is the easiest stuff I have ever used, having used quite a number of polishes and waxes over the years - most of those required an arm like he-man to get any sort of shine, but not this stuff.

I have a fine collection of AutoGlym products sitting on the shelf too.

The Meguairs stuff is impossible to find over here too, so I'm grateful for the Forum Group Buys. It smells nice too - just like cherrys!

The colour of your car is probably the biggest decider on how deep the shine will be. Darker colours will buff up really well - downside is they show up the smallest amount of grime.

Oh go on Dave - 1 more pic won't break the server!

All this talk of polishing things makes me feel very tired.....

Much rather drive it than polish it..

Sadly I'm perched behind my computer trying to write a 50,000 word document....

Ian, I use the three stage stuff, it starts with the paint cleaner, then polish, then carnauba wax. However, I started mine off with ScratchX stuff as there were lots of little key and fingernail scratches around the locks and door handles, plus swirl marks on all the panels. ScratchX takes all these off with virtually no rubbing, certainly much much less than with t-cut. I followed this with the three stage stuff, the hardest bit of which is removing the paint cleaner because it literally leaves it squeaky clean and clogs up a cloth fairly quickly with dirt and traffic film. Still, the overall effort is much less than many other single polishes I have tried. The whole lot comes in around 30 quid, not the 200 odd that zymol does.

Owen - ah well I suppose you're right. Go on then, just a couple more!

Here is the finish you can expect with an afternoon's work. I'm happy.

The recess in the door panel under my drivers side door handle has lots of finger nail scratches from the precious owner. Thought it was beyond repair short of going to a professional, but if the Scratch X is that good I'll give it a try tomorrow evening (assuming favourable weather).

I really had to twist your arm to post those piccys  That is a superb result.

I got that too, very strange. Confused as Firefox usually blocks all popup things, but if it comes from within the tab it won't stop it. I thought perhaps someone had linked a photo from a restricted site and it was trying to register each time it downloaded it.
