You killed it then Ian....bad bad boy!!!

At least this one wasn't mortally wounded..just got its chipsets in a twazzle. Pooters are a pain in the rear most of the time anyway...hope you get it sorted soon.

You bad lad...you mean you broke it already????

And Rhys thought I was bad with this one when it kept throwing its thingy wotsit out of the playpen [/QUOTE]

Well in doghouse, neither Telewest or packard bell helplines could reset pooter. Wendy had it in safe mode but even putting it back a couple of days wouldn't stop the fatal error coming up as soon as windows icons on screen.

She had to do a total wipe and reload from recovery discs -  started at 7pm, still going. Think I have a lot of grovelling to do. It is a few years old and can only be upgraded so far, but maybe getting the max RAM it'll take so it'll run XP would be a good move, even Microsoft don't recognise 98SE anymore and I can't run to 200 for a new one this month!

Erm..no Rhys..not this one...the 'other one' and you have, thank you muchley...I didn't want that thread to start going in the direction of personal slanging, just for it to be there for healthy debate, but as with a few things recently, it didn't go as planned.

Thanx for leaving this one alone and sorting the other one

Don't worry Rhys, my Irish spanners are safely tucked away in the cupboard..the pooter is safe from bodily harm, although it does get yelled at and sworn at occasionally though

Hi all, central site looks ok, be very helpful when more info on "recommends" bit. As for washing machines, one problem, if one partner goes away anywhere, holiday, course, anything, only one load of washing can be done.......
