It isn't me!

Nah, that's of a demonstration model provided by White Rose Saddlery, Malton, N. Yorks. And in fact, she's kitted out for racing on the Flat, so she'd have to be around 8.5 stone.....

I thought I was 5ft 7 as thats what the RAF told me, having always thought I was 5ft 6 before, but my stepdaughter measured me before I started keeping Wendy company dieting and it seems I'm now only 5ft 5, no idea what my waistline is, don't think I want to know, lol!

Height shouldn't matter, but most jump jockeys seem to be between 5ft 6in and 5ft 10in.

I'm 5ft 7in.

32in waist (which should be 30in, but when you spend your professional life sitting in front of a PC, standards tend to slip) so not really that slim....

POOR OLD RORY!!!!!!!

Having to carry a lump like you around a race course...

Well, minimum riding weight in point-to-point is 11 stone. I'm 10.5 stone stripped. Add riding kit, i.e. silks, race breeches, body protector (only weighs 1lb), race boots, - that probably takes me just over the 11st mark. Then add the racing saddle, weight cloth, number cloth, breastplate and girths....

If I can get this all as near as possible to 11st total, I should be doing OK.

I'll do without the extra padding. Besides, you're only allowed the Jockey Club-approved SATRA body protector in race riding, anyway
