You know your nursery rhymes then Rhys....

Its typical though, isn't it?  Flaming neighbourhood mutt nicks the spoon so no-one can mine the cheese but can you find a copper when you really need one?

Nope, they are all doing 159mph down a motorway for the fun of it.

Oh well, looks like cheese is off the menu for the time being...or at least til that pesky mutt has come back with the spoon.

Jebus, if it still takes 5 days to clear a cheque, how did they manage to stick people up there 40 years ago?

Killain, the reason cheques take 5 days to clear is that in those five days they sit in an account making cash for someone else. Big Smile

Killian, you should know by now that banks treat YOUR money like its THEIRS and there is no way in hell that they are going to let go of it unless you point a banana or cucumber wrapped in a carrier bag at them and tell them that you will shoot them if they don't hand over the money that they have so kindly lost in the system on your behalf.

yep, thats where I got it from, unfortunatly when put in the tower unit, it didn't work. Had a copy of XP Pro on that first, but it got that full of junk it crashed over and over again, so I loaded my dell xp home disc on it instead from scratch. Home should work as its legit, but may have been registered on my lappy first, I don't know..

only downside was I had a lot of programmes on the tower.. and a few gigs of pics from college degree

Oh well, its a clean start and easier to stop it junking up..

Did you have a quick peek on the notebook's undercarraige? They usually hide the XP Product ID sticker there these days to inflict maximum grief on legit users attempting to type it in.

I'd switch it off, it will be ok, either that or it will make funny smells and maybe smoke for a while..
