Topic: Z3s ? Posted: 24-March-2005 at 05:37 |
Hi Folks - looking to pick up a Z3 for the missus. Found one in the
sly&sell, rang continually and got no answer. Eventually texted and
it seems to be a dealer, one advertised is sold and has another one on
the way. I believe the cars are in Rush. So thinking of calling out and
checking the car out.
Anyone any experience with a Z3 reseller in Rush ? Bit apprehensive about buying a car from an obvious dealer, but want to get a Z3 at the right price. Essentially 13K for a 97 with leather. |

There's one in todays Galway Advertiser. Doesn't say year, black colour, alloys, 54K miles, €16,000. If your'e interested I'll PM you the contact numbers from the paper. I'm based in Galway and can have a look at it for you if it sounds promising.

same old storee with every dealer i've ever encountered!
It goes a little like dis: Me: "Hi i saw an ad for a '98 320, is it still available?" Dealer: "Oh ehhhhh, is da deh blue one?" M: "Yes" D: "Ahh, noo, sorree mate, sold it last week.... BUT i'll have another one just like it in next week if you drop over" M: "no worries, i'll call next week" 3, yes three, weeks later: AD STILL IN CBG!!! M: "I was onto you a couple of week ago about a '98 320" Dealer: "Oh ehhhhh, is da deh blue one?" M: "Yes" D: "Ahh, noo, sorree mate, sold it last week.... BUT i'll have another one just like it in next week if you drop over" M: "eh, thats what you told me 3 weeks ago" D: "wha, no, you must have been talkin to someone else" Rinse and repeat. It should be illegal to post cars for sale that they do not have in stock to sell. |

What engine are you looking at, 1.9 or 2.8? 13k for 97 looks a tad pricy to me. You should consider to go in the UK to get a good exemple for less money.

thanks for the replies guys - always reliable.
She is looking for 1.9 litre for tax reasons, but also she doesn't need anything with power etc - I'd like to see a roadster . Price is also a huge part in it. I can't see her paying more than 13K for one. Truth be known she wants a TT, but thats out of her price range at present. I've made contact today with someone where I work - their wife might be selling a 1.9 Montreal blue 1997 soon with 2 years NCT. Sounds good, they've had it 4 years, and full service history from Tax dodge/Murphy and Gunn and 50K on the clock. Half tempted to goto the UK again (got the M3 btw) but seeing as the car is not going to be mine, again the boss will deceide |

sorry - I don't have an address for the guy - only a mobile number and
he mentioned the car was in Rush. Still tempted to call out just
to have a look.
I've been on Zroadster alright, and also got a Total BMW back issue with buyers guide to the Z3s. Thanks for the links to autotrader - i've been checking them all out, and on autotrader UK, some nice machinery including hardtops, but I think we'll see how the "friend of a friend" car sale pans out. Is there any Irish region members with Z3s ? |

If mine is parked in the front car park and your previous E30 conv was red, we probably are in the same place.
