From my limited experience a chip upgrade will give you approx a 10% maximum increase in bhp & torque. Many of the chip companies give you the best case scenario and not the average. The torque improvements are noticeable though.

Usually if there is another club having a rolling road day, you can tag along and get yours done at the end. I went around about 6 weeks ago at 1.00pm on Saturday because I knew the MR2 club were being tested that morning, and Westward told me to come at that time. It's probably cheaper too. It cost me 60 yoyos.

I think it's e60 no matter what time of day you come or what you drive . If you show up on your own however , that could be more expensive .

Stevo

A bit of a snag.  I've done a deal to sell the e30 and will probably be dropping it off to the new owner on Saturday in Dublin.  Its the one I was going to run on the dyno.  It doesn't seem right to trash the knackers off it on the dyno before handing it over!

I'll probably swing by anyway to see how its going with everyone.  If the numbers are short, I don't mind paying for my "slot" because I did make the committment.

The buyer has had an e30 320i in the same colour and similar spec before, but I don't think he is a club member.

Now: BMW 523i SE '00, 318i SE - e91 '07, 325i Coupe '93.

Prev:
e46 328i SE Touring, 330Ci, 318Ci.
e39 523i SE.
e36 325i Coupe *2, 323i SE, 316iSE.
e30 325iSE 2dr, 320i Conv, 320i 2dr, 316i.

Sorry Stevo dude, i won't be able to make it on Saturday. I finish up in my current job at the end of the week, so we have to have the warehouse cleared by Monday week as it closes on Sunday the 24th.

Can't wait to see the back of the place and shift work for that matter.

Sorry again Steve.

I am planning to bring my 2002 along on Saturday
I also have a friend (not a club member) who would bring another car (not BMW) along to make up the numbers. Would this be OK?

All cars must be present at 9.30 and we'll start testing at 10.00 . So Graham , i reckon you should leave Cork around 5 . This should give you plenty of time .

No worries Robbie .

bmw325tdsse (dunno your real name) , that's no problem , i'll just put your name x2 on the list .

Diarmuid , i've done a couple of rolling road sessions before and he actually doesn't rev the motor that hard (about 4500revs)so don't worry about thrashing the car , you won't blow a gasket or anything . I'll put a question mark on your name and you can decide on the morning if you like , no pressure .

List so far :

My good self
Dergside (maybe)
Eamo
Kevin
Ravenelli
John Rafferty
Stuart Byrne
Topazman
Graham Stanley

Any chance I can go to the top of the cue, as I am going to Conlons (BMW in Rathagan) to look at a 318Ci 01 with Foreman on site!  I think they shut around lunchtime, so it would be great i you could put me in with the first bunch of cars tested!
