dump it!

yep, I just drop my intake and put back the stock airbox. filter didn't do much for performance and it's well known to have worst filstration properties so it was a bit of a no brainer for me!

Those figures seem fine to me too Kev. Dyno's are never going to be 100% accurate and yours is very close to the mark. Most engines will loose a few percent through their life, and yours has barely lost anything.  Well done.

Car is 15 years old Eamo, but engine is only 8 years old. There was a brand new engine fitted to the car when I bought it.

for a 15 year old car I would be delighted with that!!

great day... bit dissapointed with my output (102bhp)... Martin said it was running lean.
Must do some power upgrades! I'm thinking chip, filter, powerboost valve. Will this help my lean running prob?

Great to chat to some of you guys.

sorry i didnt make it to the rolling road day but i have a good excuse.an impulse buy on e-bay took me to england and this machine followed me home.

its a bmw 635csi,1980,a rare manual version with a dogleg box a limited slip diff, leather interior and its a not so rare lightened version(unfortunately the lightened version is a weight decrease caused by rust)the car had been lying idle for 5 years and with a battery it fired up almost straight away, the exhaust is blowing at the manifold and the four brake calipers completely seized to the brake discs.i was offered to have it transported home but i couldnt wait to drive it and i did,50 miles to holyhead which with seized brakes resulted in me burning the clutch out,but it was worth the price of a clutch just to drive it.Again i am sorry for not making the rolling road day as i wanted to see how my car fared out but i had an excuse.

P.S...i have more pics but they are "bitmap" and i could only seem to put up this "jpeg" one also "stuartbyrne" didnt go to the rolling road day as he kindly brought me across for my new toy.

Like the pics stevo, and fair play to you for organising the day.Pity i was late going up and delayed finding westward.Would like to have seen the rest of the lads cars on the dyno.Hadn't intended to go on it myself but glad i got the chance to.Was well happy with the 15bhp increase over stock with just panel filter and exaust.Good chat with the lads afterwards also.
