Ok, let's have your vote!

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT!!

1. YOU CAN ONLY NAME ONE CAR and NO CHANGING YOUR MIND AFTERWARDS!

2. NO WIMPING OUT, SUCH AS "I CAN'T DECIDE BETWEEN THIS AND THAT"

3. THE CAR MUST HAVE BEEN A PRODUCTION MODEL, NOT JUST A PROTOTYPE

4. THIS ISN'T JUST A BMW BRAND VOTE - IT IS OPEN TO ALL CARS

I'm going to think about my choice for a while before posting.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

It doesn't matter if it ran like a dog or was only good for 50 miles.  It's a vote on the BEST LOOKING CAR only.  Not the mechanically best car.

Ok, well I've given it considerable thought.

After which, my choice is pretty much what I suspected it would be.

The simply sublime Ferrari 250 GTO.

Right, over to you.

I may get ridiculed for this but I don't care. Personal preference.

Magnificent car, standard family hatch turned into a rally winning beast - but this was about looks only. I think it's a great looking car, and as a bonus I could actually afford to own one! I'm expecting disagreements but not caring lalalalala

Ferrari 250 GTO, Lamborghini Miura or Vauxhall Chevette.

Hmm, well the Miura was the car I debated giving my vote to instead of the 250, but I just prefer the lights arrangement of the 250 so it won the day.  People much more expert than I am give the vote to the Miura regularly mind you.  It seems to be a popular winner.

On the Chevette.  Well, its all about looks as they say so Doive is entitled to his choice!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....but what I would say to Doive (and it's a serious question that I won't criticise the answer to).

Looking at the 3 cars above, do you think the Chevette is a better looking car than the other 2?

Perosnal choice Coasting! To quote you: "The best looking car of all time", "Let's have your vote", and "It is open to all cars". I do not find the Miura or 250 particularly eye wateringly beautiful, although I appreciate that some people do. However I do find the Chevette a thing of beauty - I think of the most beautiful car as one I could happily spend a whole day walking around and not get bored of looking at it. My choice is my choice. I personally think the HSR is better looking!

I wasn't trying to belittle your choice, not at all.  I just found it very unusual.  Nonetheless, it's your choice and thats that!

Not a very original choice but it has to be the Miura. It is IMO by far and away the best looking car ever.

I do think the chevette HSR is a nice car as well though, although if were talking Opels the Manta GTE Coupe is a stunner, and I don't care what anyone says.

The Manta GTE Coupe is an interesting choice, because yes they were indeed a nice looking car.

Lamborghini Miura is ahead of the rest 2-1 so far then (all the others being on 1!).

i carnt find a decent pic ...but it has to be the daytona spider for me .

iam sure all you will rember miami vice ..black did suit it rather than the classic red..

the car seems to be dated  by modern looks etc etc but it just has that heritage and sweeping lines.to carry it through the mists of time

Ferrari 308 GTS for me.

I considered the e24 6 series as well but I had to go 308 I'm afraid.
