Just curious here, why would you want the speed limiter removed? Are we talking about the thing that governs the maximum speed (155mph or something?), or is this just a rev limiter we're talking about. Like I say, just curious, that's all.... |

He's talking speed limiter!! With a nitrous powered 4 litre motor he probably wants to know what it'll do!! 155mph is fun to start, but you sharp get used to it and hunger for more!! That nitrous will push it all the way to the red line in top!! (infact i think the 4 litre would hit the red line without the nitrous intop!!) Only limiting factor on top speed then will be the final drive ratio!! |

155 is not even flat out in 4th let alone fifth.working out the gearing it should be good for 205mph at 6500 in fifth.not saying it will do this but should be good for 170-180

You could PM Chipper He contacted me when I asked a similar question. Quite a few guys on this forum have had their cars done by him. I'm seriously considering getting mine remapped by him. Just waiting to go on the rollers first, so I've got a figure before the remap. |

This proves how awefull the likes of superchips really are, all they do is add more fuel to the map and dont change many other peramiters. What the likes of Chippeduk.com and simon do is to reprogramme the whole of the mapping to cover all aspects and not just add more fuel. If this is the case everyone would be better of buying the cheap resistors sold on ebay for £1. There are companies out there who will remap your 540i and remove the speed limiter for only £125 all in complete with full diagnostics and guarantee better results than the likes of superchips. |
