Someone out there must have a few suggestions- how do I reduce my 0-100 time for reasonable money, I would add--any extra performance is not for normal road use

Is a cam change best , should I chip it,or both , your experiance on this model could help

All depends how serious you are... when you say the performance increase is not for the road, do you have a purpose in mind? Track? 1/4 Mile? Does the car have to remain road-legal?

To improve your performance consider :

Induction kit, exhaust (de-cat?) and a mappable chip. Maybe Cams.
Weight Loss - can be far more effective than power increases for less money.
Stick with smaller diameter, light wheels to decrease unsprung weight.
Maybe a different differential to increase acceleration.
If you're spending more money, look at superchargers, turbos or Nitrous Oxide injection.

Just noticed you're from Scotland. Will we be seeing you at any of our meets? Full details @ http://www.newtongrove.demon.co.uk/bmwcc . Our monthly meet is the last Sunday of the month and we're off to Crail for a track day again 31/5/2003. Come and say hello :-)
