This is a problem mate

You could buy new seals for the glass

Or drill a couple of small holes at back of unit(on covers) to let moisture out

I have done this on my fogs and works a treat

Yeh, alot of people swear at it, then by it!!

A 3mm hole on each cover should do it.

Just a thought, if you pop out the dipped headlight bulb and then power on your headlights for a while, then the heat should clear the condensation and the gap for the dipped bulb will give the condensation somewhere to go.

Maybe that's too simple an idea!?

I've also read about some of the e36 guys putting some small satchets of silica gel in the headlamp assembly somewhere out of sight, not sure where though as I'm not familiar with the e36 headlight assembly.

That didnt work for me and had a go at letting the headlights 'breath' and that did ****** all too

I even silicon sealed both headlights! so at the minute i've given up trying to stop the misting.

BTW changing to new angle eyes headlights can still have this problem i've been told.

No mate, that wouldn't work as you need cold & dry air to remove condensation, this is why BMW also recommend that you use air con all year round, keeps the windows nice & clear even in winter.

Anyway, back to the lights, the best cure I've heard is simply drilling a 3mm hole on the cover of each light.

If you removed you bulb, then you would have no heat source anyway, plus it's not handy to do that every time they mist up. Drilling a hole is best.

Drilling a hole is best way,

I fitted a set of FK Angels units and even they misted up, this was cured when I fitted the HID conversions as you have to make a hole in the bulb cover to fit the HID bulbs and wiring, no more misting.
