E34 a/c issue

   My aircon, recycle and rear demister work every now and again. The lights are on and can just switch off. Starting the car again has an effect sometimes but not all. Is this a common fault. The a/c may need recharging, but this would stop the rear demister and heated mirrors from not working at all. Any ideas?

	Sounds like you need a replacement control panel... BTW the heated mirrors are not controlled by the rear demister button, they turn on as soon as you start the car.. Miles
