I have a set of series 5 alloys 17x 8J x4. What would be the correct tyre size for my car please. I'm thinking 235/40/17? I have done a search but did not find an exact answer.

...Or you could run 245/45/17's on the front or even 245/40/17's..These are all within 2.5% of the original size.

We have an E34 Touring Estate we put on it Eagle F1's 235.40.18 (front)
265.35.18 (rear). They cost us £1200 for a set of four which is about £200 less then my months wages!!! But very very worth it, the amount of your tyres/wheels look huge from random people puts a smile on my face!!

Apolgises to those in a previous post when I typed that we had 19" alloys...lol, got a bit over excited and mis-typed!!
