Z3 airbag light staying on!

   I removed the drivers seat at the weekend because it had jammed, pluged it all back in but ever since the airbag light does not go off after the ignition is switched on, like it should.
Any ideas? could be a coinsidance.

	I'm guessing on this one, but you could have disturbed or may have unplugged the seat belt pre tension circuit. This would be connected to the airbag circuit as they both deploy in the event of a crash. Even if you had reconnected all the wires the cars computer would have stored the loss of continuity as a fault. If this is the case it will need to be reset by BMW or someone with the appropriate tools. Alternatively it may go off on its own after a while if the computer in question carries out self-diagnostics. I must stress that this is only an assumption on my part and as the light is safety related it may be worth checking it out. Rory
