I'm in the north east with an E30 M3

I'm just slight north of north east and would like to meet up as well, but even milton keynes is to far to travel in a day and back.

Toby,

Stop being a ninnie. Just come down for two days, or Fly to Luton and ask one of the lads to pick you up, if it is in Milton Keynes.

Just a thought.

Cheers,

Dave.

My uncle is the landlord at the Boathouse Hotel, Lakeside next to Windamere 20 mins down thw A590 from J36 M6. Freehouse and serves great food. I'm sure he would be more than happy to accommodate and has rooms for those who like a drink!

Do you think Easyjet will put the M3 in the hold for me?

Sounds good to me.

I'm thinking North Wales as it has lots of the best roads in the country, including the "evo triangle". Also the scenerys not too bad, usually a little blurred!

Would also be quite handy as i live near Chester.

Go on you know it makes sence.

Surely we want to go somewhere with decent roads or its missing the point? Lake District or Wales sounds good to me.

I like Wales - apart from the sometimes angry Cardiff fans  - but the Coppers love to catch speeding Englishmen, Ive also heard they can ban you for 30days if you get caught doing over 70 on a national speed limit road. Dunno how true this is tho.

I always thought the ban thing was a bit far fetched.

Came from an ex colleague who took his SLK to North Wales for a day out one weekend, he said they cought him "doing about 70" on a single carriageway.

They probably chose to ban him after realising he was a cocky prat who thought he was far too clever for his own good - plus the Claret coloured SLK wouldnt have helped much either.

Why not meet up at Mallory Park - Leics on Thursday 31st March and join in the BDD fun on track?

Enough space to park cars and watch the goings on for those not wishing to track, also supports the Car Club..........

That sounds a great idea. Those of us in the real North and North east/west could meet there. No more than a 2 hour (or thereabouts) drive for the majority of us...

Any takers

South Cumbria. There are some great roads here, but you need to be up early to avoid the tourists in the summer.
