Don't worry we are all a sensible bunch!  I suggested posting the rules so that everyone can see that its *not* a race, it's purely about driving your car as fast as you want around the track.

Posting the rules also serves to avoid any confusion for anyone who may have been expecting a time trial and to be racing against all the cars mentioned - step forward Mr Peugot 405 Mi6 driver

Many thanks for all the support.. it proves what Dunc and the rest of the committee felt.. that there is sufficient support to hold track-type events.. maybe the start of things to come.. small steps forward.

Best Rgds

Might have to take this off.......

I wasnt so much concerned about stones coming up as the actual surface, ie pot holes.....

Yup you're running nice n low. I'd certainly remove the lower splitter to safeguard it and stick it back on afterwards.. about a 10 min job.. That must be about 2" clearance yes?

Having just got the wee gal back on Friday I'm now running about 3" clearance at front but I still don't think it'll be a prb too much now// trick is to suss' the track and spot where the 'dirty' sections are and avoid.

There should be time for a quick walk round (say 10 minutes) which gives newbies a good chance to also have a look. I'll use that time with a few volunteers to suss any areas to avoid.

If in doubt.. if I fall into a pot hole then take another line..

I'm sure Shorty can convince Willie to do a clean-up.. if not we'll remove any offending artciles and put them back when we're finished..

I'm the same.. got 2 corner splitters.. I also expect some chipping after these events but nothing a quick touch-up/re-spray wont sort and nothing you cant pick up anywhere else these days.. Who knows.. we may set up our own competition for slowest entrants.. or fastest mbr in reverse...

Hi everyone,

Excellent to see how this is shaping up. I'd like to mention 2 things however:

1) Crail DOES require helmets, but only for those with convertibles, this was the rule previously and I've not heard of it being altered.

2) My Digi-camcorder will be setup at the Hairpin as usual.

Keep the entries rolling in, lets try and beat our previous total of 20 entrants!!!

Correct my fine friend.. of course apart from those 'little schueys' from within our own ranks...

Good pts from Jimbo.. Im sure there wil still be enough lids to accomodate PAX laps.. and most down are tin tops anyway.

I hope to spin out at the same spot again James.. is it a date...
