That looks great!! How did you mount it Steve?

I bought a bullet cam which connects to AV IN on my camcorder. It's mounted using velcro to the air intake on the bumper. I'll try a run tomorrow morning to see how it looks during daylight.

is it cordless or if not, how did you route the cable?

not cordless - will post pics of setup at weekend.

Idle hands and all that, this was done with a £7 webcam, some sellotape and a laptop, none of this fancy stuff, im making a mount so it can be mounted on bodywork of car or glass with a rubber sucker.

If you used a webcam, which program do you use to record?

In theory, you could connect a number of webcams and record simultaneously?

Nero, I just used windows movie maker to record clips, i tried another couple and came back to movie maker, it offered the best compression of clips.

Nice to see more getting involved. My Sony DCR HC19 digi-cam just came through yesterday so will start practising at the w/e. If I d encounter any Hawthorn bushes then it'll at least be on film..

As long as the file formats are easily usable by Stephen then doesn't matter on the source. When submitting footage for the DVD project then please avoid messing about with the format too much and send the footage to Stephen as raw as possible so he can control the editing and effects etc.

I've also set a up a small informal drivers club through 4to60.com for various rwd musclecars etc. The resulting in-car footage from early morning raids will make for interesting viewing. Whether it gets used for this DVD or another project - who knows..

Nightshot on the digi-cam works a treat..

Pictures look quite steady - it must be a good mount?

Woudl work really well if you use the side mirror to angle further back to catch cars behind..

or how about mounting it facing backwards on the passenger side rear window so you can film all the cars you overtake
