Does it only happen when the tires are cold? If it goes away once they've warmed up you're probably low on pressure...try pumping them up and see if it goes away.

I know it will seem strange, but on my 89 E34, this kind of problem was the steering box !

I've seen many posts on here, and answers have covered just about everything you can think of, wheel bearings, discs etc, even "wrong" type of wheel.

But the strangest one to date was in the 5 series forum, ages ago, and it turned out to be the brake servo of all things.

I imagine you have already tried swapping the wheels from front to back, just in case you have a heavy tyre, or something similar, if not, might be worth a go

Best Wishes

Nigel
