I am now the very proud owner of a 2003 M3 coupe in carbon black with grey leather etc but no sat nav as i have had my alpine system fitted into this at the dealers and i own a tomtom go unit that i think is ace and far easier than my mates bmw sat nav.
problem i have is do they feel less refined than say the e46 2.5 coupe sport as i feel it seems a little raw compared. but i have driven 2 different M3s and they both felt the same.also a cab but this felt far worse. or am i just being stupid . any little things i should know about on the M as its the first one ive had. hey there bloody quick to a ton. Congrats.
Less refined=M power experience. Different animals. Any little things? Check its had the necessary recall engine works and software upgrades done if it needed them ( think this affected 01 and 02 models but always worth a check). John |

yes praktisk its a manual but to be honest i wish i had tested a M3 smg .and i do remember the thread m8 and i still rate the smg-ssg as its very practical in traffic etc.
pics will follow soon . but ive only had it half a day but ime lovin it . read the posts on recalls and was told its ok and anything needed is done . mine also has the 19" wheels ,looks wow , driven on the 18" and found no difference in ride . |

Lucky git, maybe I'll be able to afford an E46 M3 one day, if my 6 numbers come up!. I guess I'll just have to live with my E36 with half a Maclaren lump between the front wheels |

..of course it seems a little raw! In fact, in my view it could still be a little more raw (think 911 GT3).

I dont understand "raw" please elaborate. Absolutely no problems with mine at all and that is a cab...as is the wifes. Just had rod bearing recall done and put in a 318i Tourer as a loan vehicle.Like driving a tank with a lawnmower engine in comparison. In time I am sure you will come to appreciate the joys of thr(sorry)driving it Edited by cpRtech |
