No worse than the last BMWDC event I attended there in October 2002, where the "bling and subwoofer" crowd were all too prevalent, and none of the organisers at the time were willing to enforce their authority and chuck them out.

At least my entry ticket was free.....
The replacement glovebox torch was £12, though.
At 12.30pm, I hadn't even reversed into my parking space outside and people were stopping me to ask where I got my Six's clear front indicator lenses from.......!
I feel sorry for the Asian fella who asked the question, got my answer "errm, Sweden", and whose face promptly fell.....

Even though my Dad and I had advance tickets, we were still standing outside waiting to get in at 9:15am. Unacceptable.
There were fewer visitors than normal, the secured car parking area had about a third of the usual number of cars.
Considering the amount of hype this event had been given in the Total BMW magazine, it was pitifully organised. There were no visible signs posting the secure parking, contrary to the letter received with the tickets. Why did they supply tickets with a tear off strip and then take the whole thing off you as you arrived? Wierd.
Thanks to the enthusiastic few who were exhibiting, it must have been a disheartening experience.
Oh well, at least I was home in time for lunch.

Meeting the guys is always good..
It is the quality of our events that draws us together across the length and breadth of the country.. just this time It wasn't a club event and it wasn't up to scratch.
It was nice to see you again Kev.. and Gwant and Floody..
plus a fair few other members I have known a while that we don't see on the forum.
.. and it was also nice to get to see Grahams yellow CSi.. to me that car represents the club. I used to drool over it when it came to our concours at Harewood and envy it's performance at the CSL day when it was at Silverstone.. I really should have bought it from Tony and kept it as the regional mascot..
.. better go, I'm getting all nostalgic.

Nick, you forgot the cost of the petrol to get there and back.
I managed to get a few bits and pieces but it was disappointing.
The highlight for me was the opportunity to catch up with you and many others.

Just returned from a 425 mile round trip to The Total BMW Show.
This show used to be excellent.. a real club mans treat.
What has gone wrong?.. clashing with another classic car show hasn't helped.. but I think the big problem is that it is no longer run as an owners club event.
Where were all the trade stands?
We went with an empty van looking for bargains and came away with an empty van.. and an empty wallet.
£27 for me and two lads to look at a few shiny cars is not good value for money.
Don't get me wrong here, the cars were very shiny and a treat to look at.. but we get to see them in their splendour at pukka club events for a fraction of the price.
It was not worth half the entry fee.. or indeed a day out of anyones life.
annoyed!
