the full version of the video has sound, it lasts about 30 mins (door to door along the a98/a96 from work to home)

no, its 380mb

it was just a dry run to see if the idea was sound, problem is that "logitech studio", the software supplied with the webcam doesnt seem to export standard avi movie files - when i import them into pinnacle studio (my video editing stuff) its all jerky and horrible, so i cant edit it down or resave it into a more compressed format....

I can put it onto a cd if youre really desperate to see it like lol, that overtake was one of the best bits, the other was when i overtook the lorry you see in front of me later on, but the camera slid off the dash   worth it for comedy value alone

next attempt is clearing some of the junk off my laptop, installing pinnacle on there, and recording directly from the cam, i can do all the titles and music, special fx on my desktop

im after an effect like this...

http://www.aqualifeleasing.co.uk/images/CheddarBB.mpg

i need another webcam though, ive already got two laptops! , the plan is to make something like www.getawayinstockholm.com (adhering to the local laws of course ;) ) and have a bumper cam - i figured webcams would be ideal for this purpose, one at the front and one at the back, usb extension leads would be routed and come in through the windows and into the laptops, one on the passenger floor and one on the back seat floor

what do you think?

i know this is well off topic, feel free to move my post

any ideas for tape or something that would secure the camera to the bodywork to stop it flying off but wont damage the finish?

sounds cool.  I'm not needing a copy that desparately.  But be very careful if recording a good thrash as you could get into some bother with the filth!  remember the guy who taped himself doing 200mph in the F50?

yeah first time i saw it was on those "police stop" videos, 2 i think it was

the lower you mount the camera to the ground, the quicker the footage will seem, hence me wanting to stick it on the bumper somehow

Anyone from the Cumbernauld area going to AGM on Friday? If so drop me a PM. Possibly meet up at the Auld Inns filling station.
