Need ur opinion .. what do you think to this plate for my 330 ...

Im not really a fan of putting M3 badges on non ///M cars .. but I just like the look of the plate, saw one similar a while ago and quite fancied it.

Only 10k, dont think you can get a trainee trackman for that wage nowadays, tell them to stop being so tight, and get there hands in their big fat cat pockets.

Bogeys catching fire... BR would have called that "trackside environmental management" back in the day.... saved them going round chopping trackside growth back, the fires did the job for them.

Good grief....wall to wall puff-puffs.....

We got puff-puffs over here too..and ex London underground trains now owned by Stagecoach...they told us we were to have brand new trains in 1992...at the time we used circa 1920 underground rolling stock. The day arrived when the new trains came over on the lorries...erm..minus something vital though.

No wheels.

Oh well, we thought, perhaps they will be following along later.

Nope, they used the original bogies on the new trains...not so hard really seeing as our 'new' trains were repainted circa 1950's models. Anyway, the trains are still here, minus the wheels. They kept catching fire so Stagecoach had to import the 1950's bogies afterall.

And every year they spend over £10k on 'track improvements'...still feels more bouncy than a tarts matress in full swing though...

Bouncy..bouncy....bouncy....bouncy.....bouncy

Me thinx he should have fitted some big, grooved & cross-drilled Brembos.

Ah... BR Standard 8, no:71000 Duke of Gloucester. Designed and built in 1954, and intended to be the last word in British passenger steam loco design. After eight years in service, it was decided that it was not.

It took 12 years, a lot of money, work, parts, skills, dedication and modern technology to make it what it is today: arguably the most powerful steam locomotive in Britain.

...and, yes, I've got a model of it

Thats a beauty .. shame she's the only one left running. They cost an absolute mint to maintain tho, so I can see why ... bit of a costly hobby I guess.

What about when Pete Waterman bought the flying Scotsman..and re-painted it another shade of green ... now there is a foolish eejit if ever I saw one!

Here's one I built earlier....

It's a 4mm scale, 18.83mm gauge model of a Peppercorn class "K1" 2-6-0, built from the Dave Bradwell kit. The last surviving engine, no: 62005, from a class of 70 still works today - usually on the West Highland Line.

Enjoy.
