Topic: 328 European Intake Question Posted: 30-October-2002 at 13:48 |
I own a U.S. spec M3 with a M52 3.2L engine. From what I know the M52 in my M3 has a 3 inch (76mm) intake opening or MAF. Do the Euro M52 engines in the 328's also have 76mm MAF intake openings?
The reason why I am asking is because I want to buy an intake designed for a Euro 328 and put it on my US M3.
Thanks, Jason |

Which intake you going for? I've got a 328i coupe and have been swithering over a panel filter, K&N FIPK, etc... You could get one direct from http://www.ecisbmw.com/. Made for your car and highly rated by many US forum users. They can also provide a chip to go with the new induction kit. |

I want the Gruppe M intake made for the Euro M50 M52 and S50 and S52. I think the Euro M52 is the only one that would come close to working.... What size is your MAF? 3" (76mm) or 3.5"(90mm)
US spec M3's have 76mm MAF's

Hello, the 328i pipework will work i have replaced the stock air box on my 328i with a quikshift racing air induction kit ,I only know this because they had to custom make the kit as the air flow meter opening is of a larger diameter than the 323/325,ie 76mm. The sound from this stainless steel pleated cone and cold air feed is simply awesome much better than k&n/itg/piper it has a real raw power rasp that turns heads, but below 4,500 or half throttle is quiet for cruising round town but open her up and well..i think i'm in love Speak to chris at quikshift i'm sure they'll have the answer...
