Well, looks like my previous post has been kindly
wiped out - thanks for that.

When you learn to post within the forum guidelines you will find this wont happen, if you have a problem, try contacting the moderators instead of writing childish messages.

We were having a discussion about the merits and
problems with old E28 M5's, as well as relative
values. All in all, it seems like an E28 M5 will always
make the same money as an M635CSi, but which of
the tow would you have and why?
Me? I'd have the M5 as they always felt lighter on
their feet than the M6 which can often feel a bit 'heavy'
in comparison. The M5 feels faster as well, but to the
untrained eye will always look like a £400 Council
banger no matter how clean.
Whaddya reckon guys?

The e28 5 series for me is the best 5 made and to have the cream of the crop (M5) is something I always wanted for a very long while, after owning an e34 M5 and owning an e39 540 I have to say that the e28 is just so much more a drivers car, with the looks as well as the handling/power you couldent ask for more! (my 2p!)

Sorry but a £400 council banger it aint!

Although I love the lines of the six, the E28 M5 is a drivers car, and the bigger brother of the e30 M3.

Enough said.

I must admit that an M5 badged up as a 525e would
be quite a larf.

My bro had one for a while and although i only got to drive it a few times i loved it......still waiting for a drive of an E34 though so nothing to compare it to in that respect....It looks a lot better too....

Of the choice i think i'd have the 5 over the 6..i do like the 6 but not as much.....

I think both are great, E28 for me personally,I am biased to old fives though  in my opinion they are the original Q car  if I was in the market for an older coupe a 3.0 CSI or CSL (dreaming) would be my prefered choice over an M635i, they are still great cars though and they have the best wheels ever fitted to an M car

I've owned 17 BMWs since I passed my test, two of them were E28 M5s. They were the best, by a long, long way. If I didn't have a drive and garage full of E34s and an E24 I'd have an E28 M5 sitting there now.

The Mrs has a fiat, it must be quaking when it sees the 6 with bits of an Uno hanging from it's bumper.
