Hello peeps, Mexico was ok, all week to get there and back, less than one hour to repair the machine !!

Managed to get arrested for entering the USA from Mexico on false Canadian documents, despite being dressed in jeans, trainers and an England football shirt, having Great Britain and Northern Ireland on the outside of my passport, her Britannic Majesty on the inside, along with a green card issued the day before in Houston Texas, and a Mexican work permit, both stating I am a British citizen !!

They dont actually tell you why you have been locked up, they wouldnt talk to me until one of their imigration officers arrived , foaming at the mouth, as the Canadians were laughing at them.

I'm glad we are on the same side as them, they only kept me locked up for an hour before the Canadian Authorities told them I may actually be British, as the scan of my passport the yanks had sent to them actually said so !

Apart from that, even the thunderstorms are bigger over there, fantastic to watch, constant multiple lightening strikes, pity they shut the airport and delayed my flight.

A little joke my Mexican friends told me :

"A Texan is living proof that the Indians had sex with buffalos"

Best Wishes

Nigel

So if familiarity breeds contempt, does bestiality breed Americans?

Nigel,

Sounds like you had an interesting experience, you should get onto the Passport Agency and tell then to get their documents in order as the don't seem very good at forgery

It must have been quite worrying getting locked up, glad it was only for an hour.
