A great selection of cars and the weather made it a perfect day.

Aha! So THAT was your M3, then!

You do realise, Brucey, that I am applying for prizegiving rules to be changed, so that prizewinners cannot enter the same category in successive years?

If we didn't change the rules, you'd win rustiest E24 for the next decade, and Ross would only need to turn up with both of his cars to run off with "Best in Show"....

Now that would probably cause major congestion.... fun, though!

I'm not quite sure how to respond.

Yes, Mine was the one parked next to the car you took for a test drive while the owner smoked a complete packet of cigarettes in the same time frame.

Not to suggest he didn't have anything but total confidence in you.

What, this one?

It's not every day you're allowed to drive the world's only RHD Hartge H27 convertible. And besides, I brought it back in one piece, didn't I? (...apart from the slight "bang" in the suspension, but Iain assures me that was already there and was waiting to be fixed)

I am utterly mortified at this thought.....

That's mine and it looks almost clean in that photo.

It must be said that you took great care of Iain's pride & joy but that didn't stop him issuing a sign of relief when you returned with the car intact.

...and what thought is that?

The thought of winning "rustiest E24" for next 10 years,

or

the thought of Ross Harris running off with "Best in Show" just by turning up...for the next decade?

Funny, I thought Iain had cut down on smoking....

Honest to God, that H27 sticks to road like a.... sticky thing...

Technically the prize for furthest-travelled should have gone to this entrant:

...who had shipped his US-spec M6 over from the States.....

...whilst this:

must rate as something of a bargain. A clean M635CSi which cost its owner just four grand.... Ever get the feeling life just isn't fair
