Smashing car Mike. Well done. Amazing amount of work. How is that leather centre console holding up? Did you get any more of the dash covered in leather? Also, how much did the HID lights cost and did you fit them yourself. With the darker evenings I'm starting to notice the headlights aren't the best. Edited by flyingalexf68 |

Wow, that is one very nice car, a credit and the beautiful thing about it is that it's not modded to the hilt, looks classy

after hearing a couple of cars with them fitted at the bmw show at santa pod, and hearing a mate dads s2000 with a induction kit on i needed to get one pick up is a little better, but you can notice more of a flat spot around 5000rpm not as loud as i though |

Mike, love the attention to detail, how in gods name do you find the time! Do you do all the work yourself? I can only assume you don't have a wife and kids that take up most of your time (like mine! lol) The mods are so precise you can be sure your car is one of a kind and I bet you are really proud. The only thing I think you may not see a great effect from is the induction kit as these tend to favour the larger, higher performance engines. The sound is much nicer though! I do have one question where I have to satisfy my curiosity though....... why, if you are going to spend that kind of money, did you only get a 318 and not a clean 325 or 328 instead? Surely you can have more fun with performance rather than shiny polish? Just a thought! Mike Edited by 540 V8 |

thanks for the comments
it was money at the time and insurance, which i did not want to pay excess of a grand for insurance for a 328i i know now the money i have spent i could have got somthing , but back 2 1/2 years ago i could not
plus its more fun making it how i want it plus i can and might drop in a larger engine again because it fun getting my hands dirt and seeing the finished product me and my dad do all the work on the car and i have a very understanding girlfriend |

after bugging ben from chromeline design for a few weeks to get one shipped over, i finally got one have to say a big thank you to ben for sorting it all out, as i know the company in the usa did not want to send these over have to say it a lot bigger than i thought it would be, but not to big which i like it needs a little tweak on one side, but i do that in the week when i am at a mates garage think this is the only one fitted in the uk, apart from the acs one which is very rare here a couple of quick pics i also sprayed my pre face grills, which i think looks a lot better |

easy reaaly it all plug and play plugs into the cd changer input on the headunit and you have to wire up to power it which is not hard you spend the most of the time routring the cables the i pod was on shuffle thats the reason for that song on there |
