To be honest I can't see it being a manic show and the numbers will always be easy to watch I'd have thought.

If I need a loo break then we'll just have to take turns!!!!!!!

I'm quite jealous!  bigcry I would love to do this, but I will be lying on a beach/proping up the bar in a far off land.  I can't believe this is happening on possibly the only weekend of the year I'm out of the country!

Anyway, hope you have a great day, take lots of photos.  And I hope we have something similar for the BMW festival on 21/08! Big Smile

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass-out at 31 Flavours last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Sorry Chris, I couldn't resist it. After all, this is about the only topic on the NE forum with no mention of pies.

Mark & Jimmy, sorry to hear that you can't make it. I bet there's plenty of pics taken so you can see what you've missed. Fingers crossed for better weather than we had last Sunday at Alnwick.

So far, there's nine cars definately attending. If there's anyone else wishing to show their car, can they please get in touch as soon as possible, as the final list has to be submitted by this weekend.

Thanks

Mick

Dilston is just south of Corbridge off the A69.

Believe you're coming up from Teeside way so come up the A19 & join the A1 to pass west of Newcastle. Turn off onto the A19 (Hexham, Carlisle) turn left at the roundabout onto the A68 & right at the next roundabout. Depending on where you're starting from you could just come up the A68 anyway.

See you then!

Andy means turn off at the A69 (Hexham, Carlisle).

Hi guys,

Sorry about the delay getting the final arrangements posted, I thought that it was sussed, but a new problem came up today….

We all need to meet up before the event starts as the organisers have sent me all your entry passes, so I needed to find somewhere to stand 15 cars….

We went through yesterday for a look and found that the access to Dilston Castle is a narrow road with nowhere to wait. We found a small trading estate next to the railway station with a suitable car park, spoke to them this morning but they couldn’t guarantee that their gates would be unlocked next Sunday, so they suggested trying Tynedale Rugby Club.

Sneaked back this afternoon to find that the Rugby Club has a car boot sale on and can’t accommodate us. After scouring the area, this is the plan:-

At the Styford roundabout (A69/A68), take the turning for Corbridge (B6530) and follow the road into the town. (Watch out for the road surface here – they’re burning the surface off for the next two weeks and there were plenty of raised man-lids yesterday). Entering Corbridge, stay on the B6530 and turn left, passing over the Tyne. At the roundabout at the south side of the bridge, take the turning signposted B6321 (A695) for Hexham.  Travel about 1 ½ miles and you will pass a B&B on the left, followed by a sign for S bends. On the left hand side of the right bend is a lay-by. Pass the lay-by’s first entrance, and enter by the second entrance. This will now have you now pointing east. There is more than ample room to safely park all 15 cars.

The show opens to entrants at 1000 and to the public at 1130. I suggest we meet in the lay-by at 0930. Looking at the list of entrants, we have for example, 5 E46s and also a large number of red cars. It may be sensible to sort out the order of our display before we leave the lay-by. I’ll produce a plan for every-one’s views.

If anyone thinks that something has been overlooked, or has any questions, can they get in touch with me ASAP.

If anyone wants to contact me on the day, my mobile no. is 07801 905566

Thanks

Mick
