Can any one please help me with a photo of where the rotor arm should be pointing at TDC.
i changed the ht leads, wrote down where each lead went on the cap, and lost the piece of card a wrote on. Many thanks Les

Haynes manual? Haynes will tell you the firing order of the engine and there is bound to be a picture of the dizzy cap in the Haynes book.

Standing at the front of the car looking down at the dizzy cap from left to right the order of the leads on the cap are,
1, 3, ignition coil, 4, 2 This is assuming your car has the M40 engine. |

The connectors on my tizzy go from top to bottom. ie under each other. wonder if it is the M40 engine.
It is a 1991 BMW 318i
