I need to have a conversion to allow me to drive with one arm, yep bike accident ! below is what my techie ashed me -- Andy, it was lovely chatting with you yesterday about your new project. I talked around to my brake technician and it appears we have not modified a Beemer with the low effort or zero effort brakes. We will ask you to contact your dealer and ask for the diagram for the braking system, only interested in the vacuum Brake booster and master cylinder arrangement and the break down of the booster. If the car has a hydro boost braking system, then we can modify for the low or zero brakes, looking forward to your project. Thank you for your confidence, thanx alot folks !!!

Hi
I'm paraplegic, also due to a bike crash, and use Jeff Gosling hand controls which are almost exactly what you won't want. I know someone with a brachial plexus injury -bike again - which means he has no use of his IIRC right arm but he has no mods beyond a steering ball to drive an auto... A missing left arm is more of a problem in a RHD car. Have you spoken to the OTs wherever you did rehab? they should be able to point you in the right direction. Not sure why you want low effort brakes???? |

If this is an M6, how are you going to manage the gear changes? would have thought brakes would be the least of your problems.
