Andy I couldn't believe how close that stupid woman parked next to you at the pub, there was loads of room, she struggled to get out ! Run was great no one got lost again, it seemed all over to soon, can't wait for the next one, nice meeting everyone as well, putting faces to names

very enjoyable day in the end. shame you missed second part of it Andy. Cliff left us all at kielder and apeared to go do his own thing. Chris seemed to settle more into everyone elses way of thinking in return trip and it made it so much more enjoyable. look forward to doing it again but  next time with a map of where we are actually going not a map of where we were supposed to be going and 10 miles up road all turn because the leader thought it would be nice to go a better road. i agre with andy on the Pace thing, I persoannly can keep up with anyone that was out today as far as speed and driving ability goes but i did think that some people seemed put of there 'comfort zone' with the starting pace especially andy in the big red bus which as alot of us know big old cars like that need to be stopped at every corner and pointed the way you want them to go and then set off again. but on the whole a good day had by most.

Finally found this place after everyone decided to leave us in Corbridge, which wasn't on the route anyway - I blame our lass, who needed the loo. Nice of everyone to wave tho' as they drove by us... 3 attempts later we found 'em all, otherwise we would have called it a day and gone home..

I think the locals may have complained that 'we've nicked their parking spot'. Two chavs came by while we were outside and admired our cars before chugging off in their little motors.

Having had a snap brake at the other side of the big pond, we drove round to this side for a line up and a loo stop before setting off at a more 'leasurly pace'.

We left here to stop off at a shell garage for an optimax re-fill, Chris (Coasting) mentioned something about a 'pull off...' didn't quite catch what he said, something to do with parking I think.

At first the pace going was a bit too fast, our lass was feeling sickly, and Mark was shooting flames from the back of his M3, kept an eye out for Andy behind me in the 6, so we didn't loose him.

One wrong turning saw us all block a road off, only for a tractor to pass us all!! never thought it would happen - but there you go..

I'm sure with practice we will get the hang of these run outs, maps (sticking to them), comfortable speeds (car was in sports mode most of the time). Making sure everyone is in the group before setting off

Nice to meet a few more faces

Cheers guys, and to Chris for organising it.

Ok ok!!!!

Sorry for the "swift" starting pace....

I'm glad it's acknowledged that the pace home was more sedate.

Joking aside though, thanks very much to everyone who turned up today for what was a good run if slightly let down by a combination of the poor weather (until we were ready to come back), my loss of way en route initially.....but I thnk all would agree once we left the pub that the run took on its own atmosphere and the route back from Kielder was great...

So, here are a few pictures of the day...

9.30am the meet  point

En-route Floody behind Coasting

En-route Away from our slight detour into Corbridge

Stopped waiting for Rhys

Whos this dodgy bloke?

Rhys return from the Bermuda Triangle (otherwise known as Corbridge)

En-route again, MTEC530D behind Coasting

Arrival!  The cars congregate at Kielder

The weather wasnt too great

But it brightened up after about 20minutes or so

We move to the other side of the Dam for a few brighter pictures

A photo-call of all the cars (except C11 XFF as he was watching TV.)

En-route back to Heddon on the Wall, MTEC530D behind Coasting

Looks like everyone had fun, apart from Rhys's other half getting seasick.

Pics are good, least the weather behaved after a dodgy start.

The Big Red Bus doesn't have a problem with corners (as long as I can see round them), but the wife does.

Something to do with her high centre of gravity or something.

Great morning out & looking forward to our next effort. I'll find out from my mate in the MG club where they get their picnic tables & hampers from.  Wonder if those little metal carriers will fit on the Six's boot?

Nice shots mate, any ideas on a next one, maybe Brimham rocks - or round that area? Should be free on the 22nd or is that too soon.

Kerry has gone to bed, I had a kip on the way back (pulled into a lay-by that is on the A59 for half an hour).

Great photos guys.  Looks like you had a good day.  I'm sorry I missed it all and meeting you all. Frown

I am already looking forward to the next one! Big Smile

It might be a bit early, but any suggestions for a date for the next one?  In a couple of weeks maybe?  Forgive me, I'm just keen as I missed out today!!!!!!!!

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass-out at 31 Flavours last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

it was a fun day out

...even getting lost was a bit of fun .but not for the "corbridge locals "  i did get  the feeling they were not amussed by dazed and lost bmw drivers on there turf as iam sure rhys got to hear about it for his extended stay in the village

the intiall pace  of the run mite have been at the higher end of fast for some .

perhaps the pace back from keilder was a little too sedate for some ..perhaps a happy meidium of the two would have suited more of you guys  .for the duration of the whole run

floody  ..it was great to hear the rasp of you exhaust note when you kept knocking it down a gear for some of those excellent twisty bits [keilder roads]...it was fun been behind you  just watching your rear twitch in some of the corners..put a grin on my face  as my old saggy suspension knew it was going to get a lot worse and  a bit of the same as i was trying to keep pace

coasting ...excellent choice in  roads   keep finding them .even going to get the bikers out on that little circuit around keilder .well worth the hike .

it was great to meet all you guys and put names and faces together

It was great to meet everyone and put names to faces.

Andy sorry if i offended you about your 6 calling it a big red bus but i couldn't think of any other way to describe it. it is a superb example and a credit to you for keeping it that way. hope yu enjoyed the rest of the day as much as we did.

Defo looking forward to it again so is Sarah she enjoyed today too.

Thanks to chris for his efforts organising it even if he did show us a place or two that we didn't expect to see.
