Saw it on Autotrader at £3995.
Looks a really nice one and must be worth at least £3K of anyone's money with those split rims. If it was a manual I'd have been tempted to bid myself as there's no reserve but I'll just have to be patient and wait until I've moved house. Shame as it's only a few miles of Sutton-in Ashfield where I'm lodging during the week. |

Door shuts appear to be a different colour to the exterior... is that normal, or has it had a quick respray ? Steve. |

The doorshuts have a stainless steel (or similar) cover which is standard, at least on later Sixes. Hard to tell from the photos but it looks like it could be Misano Red whch would make it a Motorsport Edition but it has chrome bumper inserts etc which would mean it isn't. Does look like good value at £3.5k, even if you had to spend another £2k on hidden problems & a complete re-bush. |

I think it looks sweet and would love to live in the UK just to be able to get my hands on one. Maybe if the owner sells it he will have enough money to buy a keyboard with a caps lock key! |

It might have something to do with Meguiars'..... ....some of which is now available at your local Halfords. Assuming, of course, that your local "bling" crew haven't cleaned them out already.... |

The carpet looks ok, it's the dark brown overmats that look a bit dodgy. If it genuinely has had 20K spent then it should be mint. Could be an absolute bargain......or a minefield |

Are Highlines and Motorsport Editions easy to sell? What do they really fetch when poor/average/good/mint? Would £20k spent on a Highline be better to have spent on an M6 or M1? Is that £20k now dead money? |

...erm most of it!
As a regular browser of the classifieds, all 635s over £5K seem to take some shifting as some really nice cars are still for sale - Kev's mint Motorsport is a good example. M6s appear to be selling well with even some wanted ads for good examples. A few have come up recently in the £6-£10K bracket and they've all sold quickly. Above that and the car would have to be exceptional. |

They're still standard 635s, at the end of the day.....
I know of at least one person who secured a running "Highline" for under a grand..... His secret's safe with me!
For this, you really need to get talking to a certain Mr. Ross Harris. He just happens to have considerable experience in the refurbishment of a "Highline", having spent....errm.... twenty grand..... Edited by Horsetan |
