	yea you can try a new drill bit or maybe punch out the steel centre pin before drilling it out ,failing that you can sand/grinde off the top of the rivet flush with the panel they should just drop out then...A dremmel or something along those lines would be ideal for that or a grinder but cover up wherever sparks fly cos they leave tiny burns the size of pin heads ,a dust sheet should do.. hope it helps ! chris

	Hello Anyone out there had experience of removing the window mechanism on an E34 - I had a look over the weekend and the thing's riveted in place - had a go at drilling out the rivets but they seem pretty tough and don't want to budge. Do I need a tougher drill bit and if so which sort? Cheers Rich
