Has anyone experienced very wet carpet behind the driver seat on their X5? It looks like it maybe rain getting in under the door but the door seal looks intact. Only other option is water coming up from underneath .. scary ...

That reminds me of a comment on a 4x4 forum about door seals - they also keep water in.. (for the hardcore).

Turns out that the seal between the back door window and the door was letting in the water. Replacement seal and new trim for the door Eur110. Have since met other X5 owners who have same issue.
