Topic: Do i need 5mm spacers on the front?? Posted: 20-December-2005 at 09:51 |
I am collecting my new wheels tonight, ....Thank you very much Jim M3,....I am very excited.......... but i have a query, I have heard some fit normally, and some need 5mm spacers. My car is a Late 90 early 91 model.....Will they Fit, or should i get the spacers???? I hear some of you have the same wheels, so your advise would be appreciated. Thanks |

What ET are they, if they are the same as mine ET20 then with new Brake pads you need at least 5mm spacers, try to get them with hubcentric rings attached ? if needed that is ? bore size ? regards |

The centre bore size of these wheels is larger than the M3 hub so you will need hubcentric rings anyway, you are best to get them fitted to the spacer as one. Try wheels uk i think they are in coventry ? The reason for the pad question was if you have a newish pad the caliper rattle clip etc hits on the iner spokes of the wheel hence the spacer will be needed get 4 spacers and do the rear so as to keep the track width the same front to back, no problems with turn in when/if on track ? regards |

Lots of companies do longer bolts Demon Tweeks etc, Main dealers will only do std length bolts 5mm spacers were fine on mine, i just use 7mm so they will also fit my track wheels regards Martin |
